Custom & Personalized Item Policy

PERSONALIZED/CUSTOM ITEMS

ALL SALES ARE FINAL ON CUSOMIZED AND PERSONAL ENGRAVED ITEMS.

Once a custom item/s is ordered and production has begun, orders cannot be changed or canceled. Any changes or cancellations may incur a cancellation fee. Cancellation fees will vary depending on how far along we are in production.

Custom items are non-refundable. If there are any discrepancies with your order please contact us immediately.

PLEASE NOTE: If during the design process we determine that a design will have strength and/or structural soundness issues due to the requested design or features, we will inform you of those concerns. Should you choose to leave the elements unchanged, despite our recommendations, we will not be held liable for any damage or breakage resulting from those choices.

PERSONAL ITEM ENGRAVE DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

Any personal item/s or material/s that is brought/sent to Purple House Designs for a custom engraving or cut will be subject to an upfront non-refundable deposit of $30. Deposit will be due before Purple House Designs receives the item/s or material/s. This deposit will go towards the total cost of the engraving or cut for the item/s or material/s.

Depending on the complexity of the design wanted for the item/s or material/s that is to be cut or engraved, the customer may receive up to 3 proofs before an additional proof charge of $5 (per extra proof) will be charged.

Purple House Designs reserves the right to deny a project if we feel that the item/s or material/s will be damaged in the process, or if we determine that the item/s or material/s are not compatible with our machines capabilities.

If the customer or Purple House Designs cannot agree on a design, either party reserves the right to cancel the project before work commences. Whichever party chooses to cancel the project will be responsible for the return shipping of the item/s or material/s that was/were sent to Purple House Designs.

By sending your item/s or material/s you agree to all Terms, Conditions, and Policies. You also agree to not hold Purple House Designs liable or responsible for any damages that can or may occur from the shipping process or due to the nature of engraving or cutting. With that said, Purple House Designs will do everything in our power to ensure that your item/s or material/s are cared for and treated with utmost care.

FILE TYPE REQUIREMENT

For best results when sending us media to use in a design please send files in either .svg or .ai (Adobe Illustrator Project) format.

Files in any and all other formats will incur a fee (fee starts at $30 and varies based on complexity) to convert and modify them to a usable format.

Pictures must be in the highest resolution possible to give the best engraving results. 

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that they have all necessary permissions and licenses for all media sent to Purple House Designs. Purple house Designs is not responsible or liable for any copyright issues that may arise from customers not having permission or rights to their design.

If you do not have a file or media on hand, we are happy to work with you to create a design for your project. A design fee will be charged to the order total and may vary depending on complexity.

If the design and/or items being engraved or cut are to be used for resale or commercial use, a commercial use fee will be added for a commercial use license.

All fees will be discussed and agreed upon before work commences.

DIGITAL PROOF POLICY

  • 1 proof (per item) of your requested design is included with your order
  • 1 minor adjustment/change will be provided (per item)
  • Additional proofs/adjustments are subject to a design fee of $5 per proof/adjustment 

What are minor adjustments?

  • Moving the placement of the design
  • Adjusting the size of the design
  • Changing wording or dates

Depending on the design, font changes can be considered a major adjustment and will incur a fee.

If you would like to see multiple fonts for comparison, we will be happy to accommodate you, but a $5 design fee will be charged per extra proof.

Custom orders will be produced exactly as approved. Any changes after you have approved are subject to a reprinting/design fee. Any typos, misspellings or incorrect dates must be identified during the proof stage. It is the customers responsibility to thoroughly review the proof provided and to inform PHD of any adjustments needed before approving the proof. Once the proof is approved, PHD will start production the next business day.

DIGITAL PROOF APPROVAL IS REQUIRED BEFORE WE PROCEED TO PRODUCTION.

ESTIMATED PRODUCTION TIME

For customized items approval of proof is required before we will start production. Production will start the next business day after approval.

  • 2 - 6 estimated business days. Designing and proof stage, depending on complexity and current work load.
  • 5 - 10 estimated business days. Production stage, depending on complexity and current work load. If special materials need to be ordered for your project, this could extend the time. We will let you know if it will be longer than the stated time.
  • 2 - 7 estimated business days. Shipping stage for domestic orders (contiguous United States).
  • 10 - 15 estimated business days. Shipping stage for international orders. This is a close estimate, but may vary depending on where the item is being shipped to, customs, and transit delays.

Please remember we are still a small business and our stock of materials is limited due to space. This may sometimes put us at our material providers mercy. We hope to expand our work and storage area as soon as we are able, limiting any possible shipping delays.

RUSH ORDERS

Rush/Expedited services available for an additional fee; upon request. Please contact us with your *need by* date before placing an order.

Production time is subject to change depending on how soon the proof is approved, if we need to make changes/adjustments, or additions.

 

LATE DELIVERY

In the event that there is a delay during transit (i.e. weather related delays, lost packages, customs holds, etc..) we cannot be held responsible on behalf of the carrier. Custom/Personalized orders remain all sales final.
